Efficacy and Effects of Belight™ Ingredients

What is Belight™?

Belight™ is an ingredient that helps improve overall skin complexion and pigmentation.

Belight™ is made from 100% natural extracts and consists of 65% grape extract powder and 35% licorice extract powder.

It is an ingredient patented in France for its optimal formulation.*
(French Patent: #FR3114497)

So, how does Belight™ work on the skin, and how much should you take to notice its effects?

Now, let’s take a look at everything you need to know about Belight™.

What are the benefits of Belight™?

With consistent intake of Belight™, you can experience healthy, radiant-looking skin from within.

Here, we’ll explain how Belight™ works on the skin to help create a brighter, clearer complexion.

1. Why can skin look dark and dull?

One of the main causes is excess melanin production.

An appropriate amount of melanin helps protect the skin, but excess melanin can make the complexion look dull and lead to pigmentation such as melasma and dark spots.

Therefore, inhibiting melanin production is important for a brighter, clearer complexion.

2. What is the key to inhibiting melanin production?

Melanin is produced when an oxidative enzyme called tyrosinase is activated in response to stimuli such as UV exposure and aging.

Therefore, the key to inhibiting melanin production lies in inhibiting tyrosinase, the enzyme involved in melanin production.

3. Tyrosinase-Inhibiting Effects of Belight™

Belight™ also inhibits melanin production by effectively inhibiting tyrosinase.

The key lies in the grape and licorice contained in Belight™.

Grape and licorice contain high levels of compounds called flavonoids, which have a tyrosinase-inhibiting effect through antioxidant activity.

So, would taking grape and licorice separately have the same effect? Not necessarily.

Belight™ is a patented ingredient that combines the two in an optimal ratio.

It demonstrated a higher tyrosinase inhibition rate than grape and licorice taken separately.

How much Belight™ should you take to notice results?

For a brighter, clearer complexion from within, it is recommended to take 300 mg of Belight™ consistently for at least 1–2 months.

This recommendation is based on the results of a human application study conducted by Activ’Inside, the ingredient supplier, together with a dermatology clinic to observe improvements in skin pigmentation associated with Belight™.

A total of 100 participants with an average age of 45 who had concerns about skin pigmentation caused by aging and UV exposure—20 men and 80 women—were instructed to take 300 mg of Belight™.

According to the study results, more than 65% of participants reported noticing effects after 30 days of intake, while more than 70% reported an improvement in pigmentation after 60 days of intake.

How is Belight™ different from glutathione?

Belight™ and glutathione differ in their inhibition rates of tyrosinase, the enzyme involved in melanin production.

The tyrosinase inhibition rate of glutathione is 64%, while that of Belight™ is 85%.

This shows that the tyrosinase inhibition rate of Belight™ is approximately 33% higher than that of glutathione.

Are there any precautions when taking Belight™?

Because Belight™ consists of grape and licorice extracts, there is no established limit for the recommended daily intake, and it is an ingredient with no generally reported side effects.

However, because it contains 65% grape-derived ingredients, excessive intake may cause diarrhea.

People with a grape allergy are also advised to consult a doctor before taking it.

Are there any ingredients that are good to take together?

For a brighter, clearer complexion, inhibiting melanin production with Belight™ is important. However, it is also important to inhibit already-produced melanin from moving to keratinocytes on the skin surface and causing pigmentation.

Niacin, or vitamin B3, is an ingredient that inhibits the transfer of already-produced melanin to keratinocytes.

It is also important to normalize the skin renewal cycle so that melanin does not remain in keratinocytes for an extended period.

Ingredients that help normalize the skin renewal cycle include vitamin C and pantothenic acid, or vitamin B5.

Taking B vitamins and vitamin C together with Belight™ may help prevent melanin production, transfer, and pigmentation, helping support a brighter, clearer complexion.
